I was taking a bath today and looked at my feet. You would think that after 59 years I might have notice how ridiculously big my big toes were. No wonder I have to wear such wide shoes. I swear they look like gecko toes. I was going to post a pic, but the day was so crazy I didn't have time to take one.
This has been the week from hell, so it was the first chance I had to get my sewing and jewelry done that had to be shipped tomorrow. So this morning I had a relaxing bath and that was it for the day. The rest was all work. I did figure out that I could use an old set of computer speakers we had to listen to my MP3 player with. I hung them on the kitchen wall so I can listen while cleaning. And when I was done with my making, I cleaned the dishes to music, with a little wine, cause it was my birthday.
I had a very nice dinner with the part of the family that showed up. Poppy made me lamb chops. My fave, and also my favorite "cake" a meringue torte with whipped cream frosting. She also bought me a very cool deep fryer. It's more for the house, but I wanted one, cause I'm tired of the nasty pot on the stove we use. It doesn't really get hot enough and it spatters and boils over.
After dinner I went back to work packaging and I got an urgent email from my client, could I redo two of the designs tonight? And then the 14 year old finally brought me his list of music he wanted to buy from ITunes. So I had to do both of those and then finish my packaging. I finally finished packing and getting my labels on at 11:30 pm.
Oh I forgot to mention that I got a call from my cousin, wishing me a happy birthday and telling me about the details of his brother's visit with the oncologist. That was not a happy thing either. Quite a day to remember. I told Poppy it was my worst birthday, and she said that she thought her 16th was the worst, because she got suspended and had to have 3 fillings at the dentist and she couldn't enjoy dinner. I told her she was a brat back then and probably deserved it.

LOL....your life could be a sitcom! At least you had a little wine and a nice dinner! Maybe being busy on your birthday is a good sign - like being productive on New Year's....a sign of good things to come!
Happy Birthday!! Glad you were able to have a delicious meal and some wine with your house cleaning! hehe Wishing you all the best always!
I'm sorry to hear you had a rotten day on your birthday. Happy Birthday by the way. Birthday's are not the same like when we were children. I wish they were, although I try real hard to have some fun. Your a hoot though, your toes are so big... glad you got your deep fryer.
Happy belated birthday, Cinders! Maybe you didn't have the best of birthdays, but I'm sure you have less grey hairs than I do at my 31 years! ;) And if the b-day wasn't too good, it's an excuse to celebrate again at some other day!
Happy Birthday, belated but sincerely wished :)
