I was taking a bath today and looked at my feet. You would think that after 59 years I might have notice how ridiculously big my big toes were. No wonder I have to wear such wide shoes. I swear they look like gecko toes. I was going to post a pic, but the day was so crazy I didn't have time to take one.
This has been the week from hell, so it was the first chance I had to get my sewing and jewelry done that had to be shipped tomorrow. So this morning I had a relaxing bath and that was it for the day. The rest was all work. I did figure out that I could use an old set of computer speakers we had to listen to my MP3 player with. I hung them on the kitchen wall so I can listen while cleaning. And when I was done with my making, I cleaned the dishes to music, with a little wine, cause it was my birthday.
I had a very nice dinner with the part of the family that showed up. Poppy made me lamb chops. My fave, and also my favorite "cake" a meringue torte with whipped cream frosting. She also bought me a very cool deep fryer. It's more for the house, but I wanted one, cause I'm tired of the nasty pot on the stove we use. It doesn't really get hot enough and it spatters and boils over.
After dinner I went back to work packaging and I got an urgent email from my client, could I redo two of the designs tonight? And then the 14 year old finally brought me his list of music he wanted to buy from ITunes. So I had to do both of those and then finish my packaging. I finally finished packing and getting my labels on at 11:30 pm.
Oh I forgot to mention that I got a call from my cousin, wishing me a happy birthday and telling me about the details of his brother's visit with the oncologist. That was not a happy thing either. Quite a day to remember. I told Poppy it was my worst birthday, and she said that she thought her 16th was the worst, because she got suspended and had to have 3 fillings at the dentist and she couldn't enjoy dinner. I told her she was a brat back then and probably deserved it.
